HIGHLIGHTS OF DTP
- 24 participants
- 5 religious also participated (2 Sisters - DSHJ and 2 Seminarians - Dominican).
- 3 days retreat.
- 6 days training.
- Out reach to an old age home.
- Group activities, Group discussions.
- Pro-life exhibition.
- Counselling and eldering.
- Meeting with the family members on the last day.
Retreat was conducted by Fr Franklin and Mr Wilson (Delhi JY animator).
Mr Baby Chacko (Babychayan) dealt with the topics inner healing, discipleship, values and cleanliness.
Mr Siju Alenchery took up the session on self awareness, communication skills, and personality development.
Dr Edward (Eddy Chetan) spoke on Jesus Youth Ministry.
Ms Hemalata (Hemalata Teacher) spoke about Mother Mary and importance of Intercession.
Mr Vijay Sebastian spoke on the importance of evangelization.
Mr Suraj conducted a session on praise and worship.
Mr Anil on personal prayer
Br Kenneth addressed the gathering on the importance of word of God.
Fr Roger spoke about the importance of the Catholic Church
Mr Saji Arakulam was there for the counselling through out and also he had taken up sessions on praise. His testimony was the most inspiring one.
Mr Rodney Periera spoke on mass media, discipleship and leadership.
Ms Sweety spoke about Pro-life.
Participants are filled with the zeal and courage to work for God's kingdom. DTP did shape the participants personality and lifestyle to work for the glory of God.
There were about 30 family members of the participants who were present on the parents gathering which was held no 1st June followed by the commissioning mass which was celebrated by Fr Melwyn D'Cunha SJ (animator of Jesus Youth in Mangalore).
Parents were very happy with DTP and the functioning of Jesus Youth in Mangalore.
