Giri Parish One Day Programme

With the theme "Be joyful always" (Phil 4:4) we had one day parish programme in Giri Church on 8th of July with the leadership of Rev. Fr. Edwin D'Souza, Parish Priest Giri. 

Around 99 Youth Participated and we had Brayan Dias and Anil Rupesh D'Souza for resources. Music was led Ameeka Lobo, Annet D'Souza, Neha Rodrigues and Joslyn Vas.

This was supported by Jesus Youth of Belthangady Parish - Nelson Dias, Praveen Pais, Sachin D'Souza, Anish Veigas, Santhosh Dias.

Lenten Night Vigil - March

A night in the presence of the Lord during this Lent.

Assisted with music and projector displays, we spend our precious time
with

• Action Songs, Praise and Worship
• Intercession and Adoration
• Scriptural Way of the Cross
• Reflecting Lenten Message from our Pastor
• and so on..

Monthly Gathering - March

Monthly Gathering was held on 18th of March at Roshni Nilaya.

We had Fr. Clifford sharing us on the personality of Jesus. How he was sitting, listening, asking and answering when he was found in the temple at the age of 12. Fr. Clifford gave this as a lesson which we must start practicing this Lenten Season.

Also we had discussions on how we ought to show reverence to Jesus's presence in the Blessed Sacrament and importance of attending daily Mass.

ICYM YSM Jesus Youth AICUF

The four youth movements joined hands to bring and renew the joy of youth of Mangalore.It was from 29th October to 1st November at Divine Call Center, Mulky.Around 800 youths gathered from the parishes and institutions in the diocese of Mangalore.It was a mega event.. a celebration for youth on behalf of 125 years of faith in Mangalore.

Theme:"Taste and see that the Lord is good"

September Season

31ST AUG – 2 SEP – Karnataka parish LTP – A leadership training program for 28 participants from various parts of Karnataka was held at Rishivana. The resources were Br. Davis, Br. Eliyas, Br. Joy, Br. Albert Lobo. The participants were given training on how to be committed and strong Christian leaders.

2nd – LTP Follow up – A follow up of the leadership training program was conducted at Fr. Mullers. 12 students attended this program. The main resource was Suraj. The main aim of this program was to start various ministries in the campus. The ministries formed were music ministry, healing hands and intercession ministry.

2nd – Teens volunteers gathering – A one day gathering of all the volunteers of the TEENS MEET was held at Fatima Retreat House. The main resources were Liss and Wilma. A total of 30 volunteers attended this program.

9th – Family gathering at St. Agnes Special school was conducted from 2 P.M to 5 P.M. The Jesus Youth of Mangalore celebrated the feast of nativity as one family. There was a beautiful time of fellowship with games.

16th – Staff and tutors program – A one day program for nursing staff and tutors was held at Fatima Retreat House by the nurses ministry. 60 participants were present. Br. Dony from Bangalore was the main resource.

18th – Taize worship – Taize worship was held at Valencia parish from 6:15 P.M to 7:30 P.M. Br. Rodney led the worship. 50 parishioners attended the Taize worship.

22nd – Night Vigil – The night vigil was held at Bishops house. A total of 30 Jesus Youths attended the vigil. It was a beautiful time of spending the whole night in the presence of the Lord. We also had a time of confession before the vigil began. Fr. Prakash helped with the confessions. The vigil ended with Holy Mass celebrated by the Bishop of Mangalore.

Program at Siddakatte Parish

There was a one day program organised by the local youth on 15th July, the jesus youth was called to take sessions. After the program the youth decided to have the prayer meeting in the parish. The resource team included Anil, Merlin, Sherin, Bob and Rozan.

Modanthyar Prayer Meeting

Hi everybody... Today we went to Modanthyar.... Every Sat from 1.00pm to 2.00 at Modanthyar Chruch new prayer meeting has already began... Mangalore Full Timer Sherine Stanley and me went... It was a good Mission experience... People at Modanthyar have deceided to come regularly on wed and fri for 10 min and interceeed for the prayer meeting .....Isnt it a great intiative.... I think ... They require more prayers.... Lets all pray for the Jesus Youth Modanthyar Prayer meetings.... Especially for Jaison, Ivan, Lavina and Monica who ve decided to meet on wed and Fri.....

Parish ministry One Day Program

A one day program was held at the initiative of the parish ministry for the participant of Spandana from Mangalore. The program was conducted on 26th November,2006 at St Agnes Special School.

The program was attended by people from all over
Karnataka. There was Vibrant Music, inspiratinal talks and testimonies and those who came felt the heart beat of the living God.

24 hours Intersession for Spandana

Greetings in the Name of the Lord It was a dream of the Jy in m'lore to hav an intersession place 24hr and i think this dream is fullfilled to may be to some extent Thanks to "Spandana" Karnataka Youth Convention organised jointly by Jesus Youth and Karnataka Regional Youth Commission in St Aloysius college, Mangalore from October 20th to 23rd. Concluding with the Rex Band Show on 23rd evening. In preparation for this program we are having a 24 hr intersession at Fathima Retreat House, Jeppu, Mangalore (Behind the Main Chapel). Plz do drop in some time and also it would be nice if we inform our friends also maybe some time atleast say after college or work to spend time in intersession. and also pray for the people who are already taking commitment to spend days staying in retreat house praying for the program. As we already know there are only few days left for the registration to close ie 25 th sep so plz send in the registrations as soon as possible and also get as many as you can from your parishes. may be they can go back and start a prayer group in your parish. i hav attached a picture of the intersession place god bless The photo is also added to the Group Photo Album God Bless With Love : ) S U R A J
